Our Commitment to the Wellbeing of Every Cavoodle We Rehome

Adoption Health & Guarantee

At Cavoodle Of Aussie Rehome, we prioritise the health, safety, and long-term wellbeing of every Cavoodle in our care. As a registered nonprofit organisation, we uphold ethical rehoming practices, follow comprehensive veterinary protocols, and maintain transparent communication with adopters.

We recognise that adopting a dog brings both joy and responsibility. That’s why we conduct thorough health assessments, administer appropriate veterinary treatment, and offer behavioural support to ensure each Cavoodle thrives in their new home.

Pre-Adoption Veterinary Care

Every Cavoodle we rehome receives:

• A full veterinary examination from a registered practitioner
• C3 or C5 vaccinations, depending on age and health status
• Worming and flea treatment
• Desexing, unless a medical condition or age makes it unsuitable
• A dental check and any necessary treatment
• Microchipping and registration that complies with state legislation
• A behavioural assessment and a tailored enrichment plan

Where relevant, we also provide:

• Specialist referrals to support ongoing health conditions
• Clear post-operative care instructions
• Nutritional guidance that reflects age and breed-specific needs

We give adopters access to all veterinary records.

Cavoodle Health Disclosure & Transparency

We are committed to full disclosure regarding each Cavoodle’s health and behavioural history. Adopters receive:

• A detailed health summary
• Behavioural notes from foster carers and coordinators
• Any known medical conditions, allergies or ongoing treatment plans
• Recommendations for future veterinary care or monitoring

We take every care to ensure accuracy, but some conditions may still arise post-adoption due to age, genetics, or changes in environment.

Cavoodle Health Adoption Guarantee

We offer a compassionate and practical guarantee to support both the Cavoodle and their new family.

Health Support Period

During the first 14 days after adoption, we:

• Cover costs for any pre-existing condition not previously disclosed
• Coordinate veterinary referrals and treatment
• Share behavioural advice and adjustment support

2. Behavioural Support

We continue to guide families through common post-adoption challenges, such as:

• Settling-in anxiety
• House training and routine development
• Socialisation and enrichment strategies

Our team responds to requests via phone, email, or referral to qualified trainers.

Return & Rehoming Policy

If the adoption no longer works despite everyone’s best efforts, we:

• Welcome the Cavoodle back into our care without judgement
• Reassess the dog and find a suitable new home
• Support the adopter emotionally throughout the transition

We prohibit rehoming through third parties or online platforms. Families must coordinate all returns directly with our team.

Adoption Pack & Resources

Each adopter receives a comprehensive adoption pack, including:

• Cavoodle Health and vaccination records
• Microchip transfer documentation
• Transition guide and care instructions
• Breed-specific resources and enrichment tips
• Contact details for post-adoption support

We also offer optional follow-up calls or visits to ensure a smooth transition.
