Our Adoption Process

At Cavoodle Of Aussie Rehome, we ensure every Cavoodle finds a home where they feel safe, loved, and understood. We structure our adoption process to remain thorough, transparent, and supportive, helping each dog and adopter form the best possible match.
 
We never operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we prioritise suitability, readiness, and the long-term wellbeing of every Cavoodle in our care.

Your Seamless Path to Cavoodle Companionship

Step 1

Start by browsing our Available Cavoodles page. Each profile shares details about the dog’s temperament, medical history, behavioural needs, and ideal home environment. We encourage prospective adopters to read these profiles carefully and reflect on whether their lifestyle suits the dog’s needs.

Step 2

Once you identify a Cavoodle that suits you, please complete our Adoption Application Form. This form helps us learn about your household, experience with dogs, daily routine, and expectations. Please ensure you provide accurate and complete information.

Step 3

Our adoption coordinators will review your application and contact you by email or phone to gather further details. This helps us clarify your responses, explore the dog’s needs more deeply, and answer any questions you may have.

If we believe another Cavoodle suits your circumstances more closely, we may suggest alternative matches.

Step 4

If everyone agrees the match suits your circumstances, we will offer you the opportunity to adopt. You must sign our Adoption Agreement, which outlines your responsibilities, post-adoption support, and our commitment to the dog’s welfare.

At this stage, you will pay an adoption donation fee. This fee supports veterinary care, transportation, desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, and ongoing rescue operations.

Step 5:

We guide you through settling your Cavoodle into their new home, covering feeding routines, behavioural tips, and integration strategies. Our team stays available for post-adoption support, and we welcome ongoing communication.

If you face any challenges, we’ll support you, because adoption marks the beginning of our relationship, not the end.

Essential Information

• We desex, vaccinate, microchip, and vet-check every Cavoodle before adoption.
• We do not place dogs in homes where they spend more than 10 hours alone without companionship or stimulation.
• We may decline applications that fail to meet our welfare standards or support the dog’s best interests.
• We consider interstate adoptions on a case-by-case basis, depending on transport arrangements.
